First Step In The Right Direction. Next Step Is Ending The 20 Year Execution Hold Up. Why Are Convicted Criminals Allowed To Live 20 or More After They've Received A Death Sentence? I Understand They Have The Right To Appeal Their Death Sentence But How Many Times Are They Allowed To Appeal and How Long Does It Take To Process Each Appeal?
In Many Countries The Convicted Is Generally Executed Within Hours, Days, Weeks or A Few Months After They've Been Convicted. In America They Are Executed 19, 15, 20 Years After They've Received The Death Sentence? I
Truly Understand There is A Process Because You Don't Want To Execute An Innocent Person, But It Should Not Take Decades To Process The Convicted Appeals. Matter A Fact If He/She Is Proven Guilty Of Committing Heinous Crimes, Especially Heinous Crimes That Involve Children, Elderly and The Disabled Becoming Severely Injured or Losing Their Lives Give Them ONE Appeal and That's It.
Most Likely They Want To Bypass The Death Sentence and Get Life In Prison, My Take On That If You Purposely, Viciously Cause Death To Another Person You Forfeit Your Own Life. The ONLY Acception In My Mind Would Be Children Under The Age Of 18, But They Should Remain Behind Bars Fr A Good Portion Of Their Life, Because They Ended Another Persons Life. I Guess When It Comes To Situations Like This When Its' All Said and Done I Believe 'In an Eye For An Eye.'
